Merry-late Christmas everybody, hope you had a great time with family and friends! Today's the first official post for RaiMien and there are actually a few things that you may want to understand so that you know what to expect from this site. I'll try my best to list most of them here. Firstly, I am a student, do expect random delays. I update this site once a week, however, anything can happen at anytime and anywhere and if I am needed, I won't be able to play games and everything will just mess up. Backup contents will probably kick in but hey-- worst case scenario. I will try to catch up on things I miss though. Secondly, I used to post fast runs on another channel, looking for a fresh start. A little on my background, I have been posting fast runs for a few months now. If you have been following me from my other channel, I play more of like RPG maker games without turn-to-turn combats (That's the reason why most of them are horror games). The only one I remembered that had a combat system that I played (At least it looked like it - even though it was a joke ) was 'Like Clockwork' (great game that you should check out). I don't exactly like games that have turn based combat with levels and stuff, guess you can say I'm more of the puzzle and run-around type (not to say games with turn-based combat are bad but... You get it). What exactly are fast runs? It's basically a run through of the game with minimal mistakes and showing all of the alternate endings, bonuses, etc.; Fast runs are not commentary videos, I don't have my microphone switched on. It takes longer than it may seem to make a simple 20minutes fast run. Although it may look easy and all to just sit there and play for 20minutes and record it and upload, but it's really not that quick. I start the game blind (not blind as in I can't see, it means that I have not done any research beforehand) - I like it that way; and it would normally take about 4hours to completely master the game, flawlessly. As fast runs normally have no cuts (unless its utmost necessary), the game has to be familiar with. Also, almost every ending of fast runs series I make will have a part of a random electronic dance music. About that, I normally use free to use music taken from YouTube. However, if I overlooked that it was not supposed to be usable, please do not instantly hate me and flag the video, angry and all. Just leave me an email or Facebook message the RaiMien page about the video so that I could redo the ending. I don't want any trouble with any DJs out there, forgive me. (Same goes to artists whose artwork I will be using for the same purpose- I will leave watermarks if there are any) Lastly, RPG maker games that are a bit more expected by everyone wouldn't exactly be my priority. I know it's a bit weird but I like to play games that are less anticipated yet fun. Guess you can say that I play and review games to promote them if I think they should get as much attention as they deserve (provided this site gets somewhere good-- I hope, haha), but that doesn't mean I won't play games that are more welcomed. If there are any questions at any point of time that you want to ask, feel free to as long as it concerns site or game. Also, if there are games that you think I should have played and review but I didn't, you can drop me an email or message me on my RaiMien Facebook page, I will try my best to reply.
